14 Days | Tokyo – Mount Fuji – Hakone – Kyoto – Osaka – Hiroshima
Day 1 – Arrival in Tokyo
Arrival at either Narita International Airport or Haneda Airport. After passport procedures, meet your local representative and transfer to your hotel in Tokyo. The remainder of the day is free to relax after your international flight or take a first walk through the vibrant streets of Japan’s capital city. Overnight in Tokyo.
Day 2 – Tokyo City Tour
After breakfast, begin exploring the fascinating contrasts of Tokyo where ancient traditions meet modern urban life. Visit the peaceful Meiji Shrine located within a large forested park before continuing to the historic district of Asakusa to see the famous Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise shopping street. Later visit the lively Shibuya district and experience the world-famous Shibuya Crossing. Overnight in Tokyo.
Day 3 – Tokyo Exploration
Today continue discovering Tokyo’s modern and traditional districts. Visit the Tsukiji outer market area, explore the elegant shopping streets of Ginza and enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline from one of Tokyo’s observation points. The rest of the afternoon is free for shopping or exploring the city’s vibrant neighborhoods and culinary scene. Overnight in Tokyo.
Day 4 – Mount Fuji & Hakone Tour
After breakfast depart for a full-day excursion to the Mount Fuji region. Enjoy scenic views of Japan’s most iconic mountain, Mount Fuji, weather permitting. Continue to Hakone, a beautiful resort area known for its lakes and volcanic landscapes. Here enjoy a cruise across Lake Ashi and a ride on the Hakone Ropeway offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Return to Tokyo in the evening. Overnight in Tokyo.
Day 5 – Free Day in Tokyo
Breakfast at the hotel. Today is free for personal exploration. Optional excursions may include visiting the historic temples of Nikko, shopping in Harajuku or exploring Tokyo’s famous food scene. Overnight in Tokyo.
Day 6 – Tokyo to Kyoto by Bullet Train
After breakfast transfer to the station to board Japan’s world-famous Shinkansen bullet train for your journey to Kyoto. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the historic streets and traditional atmosphere of Kyoto. Overnight in Kyoto.
Day 7 – Kyoto City Tour
Today explore Kyoto, Japan’s cultural heart and former imperial capital. Visit the magnificent Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), followed by the beautiful Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and nearby temples. Continue exploring traditional neighborhoods and cultural landmarks of this historic city. Overnight in Kyoto.
Day 8 – Kyoto Heritage Tour
After breakfast continue visiting Kyoto’s most famous landmarks including the impressive Kiyomizu-dera temple and the iconic red torii gates of Fushimi Inari Taisha. Later stroll through the historic streets of the Gion District where traditional wooden houses and geisha culture still survive. Overnight in Kyoto.
Day 9 – Excursion to Nara
After breakfast travel to Nara, Japan’s first capital. Visit the famous Todai-ji Temple which houses one of the largest bronze Buddha statues in the world. Walk through Nara Park where friendly deer roam freely. Return to Kyoto in the afternoon. Overnight in Kyoto.
Day 10 – Kyoto to Hiroshima
This morning travel by bullet train to Hiroshima. Upon arrival visit the moving Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the historic Atomic Bomb Dome, a symbol of peace and remembrance. Overnight in Hiroshima.
Day 11 – Miyajima Island
After breakfast take a short ferry ride to Miyajima Island to visit the famous Itsukushima Shrine with its iconic floating torii gate. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the island before returning to Hiroshima. Overnight in Hiroshima.
Day 12 – Hiroshima to Osaka
Travel by bullet train to Osaka, a lively city known for its food culture and energetic nightlife. Visit the historic Osaka Castle and later explore the colorful streets of Dotonbori. Overnight in Osaka.
Day 13 – Osaka Free Day
Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy free time to explore Osaka at your own pace. Optional activities include visiting Universal Studios Japan, shopping in Shinsaibashi or enjoying Osaka’s famous street food. Overnight in Osaka.
Day 14 – Departure
After breakfast transfer to Kansai International Airport for your international departure flight.
